Plan first-year costs

Enter costs for one college. Keep official amounts separate from your estimates. Leave anything you do not know marked Unknown.

Copy fees from the current official notice. Your entries are not uploaded or automatically saved. Copy, download or print your plan before leaving this page.

Your plan
How to avoid missing or counting a cost twice
  • Use the current fee notice for your programme, seat category and session.
  • If a total includes tuition and other fees, split it into its parts or enter it once. Do not do both.
  • Choose “Once / first-year total” for an annual amount. Choose “Per month” only for a monthly payment.
  • Mark a cost “Not needed / no charge” only after checking. Unknown costs are not zero.
  • Do not reduce your costs for an unconfirmed scholarship, discount or expected refund.
  • Plan one year at a time. Fees and living costs may change in later years.

Check each cost

Choose “Official notice” for a fee you checked in the college's current notice.

Tuition

Use first-year tuition only, not a total that includes other fees.

Admission or application fees

Do not add a fee again if it is already in another amount.

University and exam fees

Check whether these are included in the college's total.

Hostel or rent

Use the cost you expect to pay, not a promise of a hostel place.

Food

Leave out meals already included in hostel charges.

Travel

Include regular travel; put one-off trips in Other costs.

Books and study materials

Count what you plan to buy in the first year.

Clothing and equipment

Check the college's list before buying instruments or a uniform.

Other costs

Include any remaining charges without counting a cost twice.

Refundable deposits

Include cash needed for a deposit. A refund depends on the written terms.

Before you pay

Check the current official fee notice and refund terms. Confirm the payment account through the official college or admission website.
