MDCAT 2026 rescheduled to 20 September

PMDC has rescheduled the MDCAT from 16 August to 20 September 2026. The announcement was published on the official PMDC website on 6 August.

The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council has rescheduled the MDCAT 2026 examination. The new date is Sunday, 20 September 2026 at 10:00 AM Pakistan time. The exam was originally scheduled for 16 August. Check your current card for your reporting time and local instructions.

PMDC published the rescheduling notice on 6 August 2026. It keeps other arrangements unchanged unless a later notice changes them. Check both PMDC and your conducting university.

What this means for candidates

Correction — 11 September 2026: our earlier advice to keep an old UHS card was incomplete. UHS’s 6 August notice cancelled cards issued up to that date and said they would be reissued. Punjab candidates should get their current card from the official UHS portal.

For other regions, use your own university’s instructions. Our admit-card guide includes official links, centre-change notices and travel checks. Do not assume one province’s card rules apply everywhere.

What to do now

  • Check the official PMDC page at pmdc.pk for the full notice and any follow-up announcements.
  • Do not rely on unofficial sources for exam dates, centre changes or admit-card updates. Only act on notices published by PMDC or by the conducting university in your province.
  • Keep preparing. The extra time is useful only if you use it. The exam format, syllabus and marking are unchanged.
