NUMS has two separate steps: registering for its test and applying for a college seat. Keep a checklist for each.
NUMS 2026 dates
NUMS scheduled its MDCAT for 13 September 2026 at 10:00 AM Pakistan time at local centres. That date has passed. Check NUMS for its result and college-application notices. This test is for 2026–27 admission to the colleges listed in the NUMS notice.
Check NUMS’s separate college-application notice for the admission deadline.
After the test
Open the official NUMS test notice. Keep your test registration and result details. Check the correct session and college category before starting a college application.
Do not use our national MDCAT aggregate calculator for a NUMS raw score. The test structure and score basis must match the formula being used.
Before choosing a college
Find your exact college, programme and seat category in the current NUMS notice.
The 2026 notice labels Army Medical College MBBS “for Medical Cadets Only”. Check whether you qualify for that category. Confirm the current category instructions directly with NUMS before making plans around it.
Check the college’s recognition for your chosen programme: MBBS or BDS.
When the college-application notice is available
Use the NUMS admissions index to find the correct session. If that page does not open, use the admissions menu on the NUMS homepage. On 20 September, the MBBS/BDS section still listed the closed 2025–26 cycle. Check for the 2026–27 notice. Make a new checklist for:
- Required qualification, subjects and equivalence.
- Accepted test, test year and programme-specific minimum.
- Open-merit or other category evidence.
- College order and rules for changing it.
- File formats, application fee and payment method.
- Final submission, correction, selection and joining dates.
Save the confirmation from each portal: one for the test and one for your college application.
Keep choices and payments under your control
Use the private college worksheet to discuss options with your family. Follow the official form’s required options when submitting. Do not share a password or OTP with anyone offering to “secure” a seat.
If instructions are unclear, ask the NUMS help desk named in the current notice. Keep its written reply with your checklist.
